Go along for a full night of entertainment and dancing, 1940s style, on Saturday 4th April at the 4* hotel. ‘Twelve Bars from Mars’ will be live to get you ‘in the mood’, with swing, jazz, jive, not forgetting those Big Band classics. The evening starts at 7.30pm with a chance to view the 1940s film on display as well as the period costumes from a local theatre.

- what areas of the respondents' organisations (or their clients') are most affected by the recession
- what actions they are seeing in response to the crisis
- whether prior experience of managing through a downturn is an important hiring criterion, and
- what the greatest challenges are in emerging from recession.

Over 75 delegates attended the recent joint North & West Yorkshire IoD event conducted by Executives Online at Carrwood Park to hear how it is still possible to achieve commercial objectives in a downturn by using interim management.
The main take away from the seminar was that experienced interim managers can make a significant impact on implementation of company strategy - even in a recession.
Anne Beitel, BA, MBA Harvard and Managing Director of Executives Online, spoke of an increasing trend in the use of part time interim managers by companies recognising the need for continued implementation of their long term plans but unable to invest in a permanent senior level resource.
Instead, such roles can be filled by highly experienced interim managers - many of whom were around in the last recession some 16 to 17 years ago - who can bring their talents to bear on a variety of corporate situations.
Anne said: "Access to these seasoned professionals results in the immediate deployment of the most appropriate change management skills available. In these difficult trading times, CEOs, MDs and other senior managers are reviewing their plans and wondering how to continue steering a straight course. It's no surprise that business leaders are increasingly turning to interim management to play a key role."
Anne was supported in the seminar by Regional Directors of Executive Online, Derek Ward and Paul Barron, who can be contacted on 01937 581900.
